Dr. Ioannis Grigorakis is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Preschool Education at the University of Crete, specializing in “Pedagogy and Literacy in Early Childhood”. He holds a Ph.D. (2014) and a Master’s degree (2009) from the University of Crete, alongside a Teaching Center Diploma and Education Degrees. He has extensive university teaching experience in undergraduate and postgraduate programs (University of Crete, Hellenic Open University, University of Nicosia) and has supervised numerous Master’s theses and Ph.D. dissertations. He previously served as an Education Coordinator, School Advisor, and primary school teacher. His research focuses on emergent literacy, morphological/phonological awareness, and learning difficulties. He has authored numerous publications in international/Greek peer-reviewed journals and edited books. Additionally, he serves as a reviewer for prestigious scientific journals and is an active member of research projects and academic associations.
