The University Research and Innovation Center (URIC) of the University of Crete is a dynamic hub of interdisciplinary research that promotes scientific knowledge and innovation. Through the operation of its research Institutes, URIC develops basic and applied research across a wide range of scientific fields.

The Center’s research activity covers areas such as natural sciences, medicine, humanities and social sciences, education, new technologies, and sustainable development. Through interdisciplinary approaches and the collaboration of scientists from diverse backgrounds, the Center seeks to develop innovative solutions for modern scientific and societal challenges.

At the same time, URIC participates in national and international research programs, strengthening partnerships with universities, research centers, and organizations both in Greece and abroad. These collaborations foster the exchange of knowledge, the development of new technologies, and the transfer of scientific results to society.
