Institute for Research in Education and Digital Humanities and Social Sciences (IREDHSS)
Research at the Institute for Research in Education and Digital Humanities and Social Sciences focuses on the study of education, society, and culture through modern interdisciplinary approaches. The Institute investigates the role of education in shaping social and cultural processes, while simultaneously leveraging the potential offered by digital technologies.
A major research axis concerns the analysis of educational practices, policies, and institutions, aiming to improve educational quality and enhance equity in access to knowledge. Through empirical studies and theoretical approaches, issues related to teaching, learning, and the role of education in contemporary societies are examined.
At the same time, the Institute conducts research in the Digital Humanities, utilizing digital tools and methods to study cultural and social data. The creation and analysis of digital archives, the processing of large datasets, and the development of new forms of scientific documentation constitute core areas of activity.
Particular emphasis is placed on exploring the relationship between digital technologies, society, and culture. The research examines how new technologies influence social practices, communication, knowledge production, and the dissemination of cultural heritage.
IREDHSS develops collaborations with universities, research centers, and cultural organizations in Greece and abroad. Through research programs, scientific publications, and knowledge dissemination activities, it actively contributes to the advancement of research and innovation in the fields of education and digital humanities and social sciences.
