The Department of Physics and the Institute of Astrobiology organize, this semester, a University-level course on Astrophysics and Astrobiology, targeting non-majors, entitled “The Universe for Beginners”. Join us to learn about the Galaxy, our solar system and other stellar systems beyond our own, exoplanets, the origin of life on Earth and how we are looking for signs of life elsewhere in the Solar system and in the Galaxy. The course also discusses the scientific method, the distinction between science and pseudoscience, the fight against irrationalism, research methodology, and quantitative logic.
