Vassiliki Vassiloudi is Assistant Professor of Children’s Literature in the Department of Primary Education at the University of Crete. She holds a Master’s degree in Children’s Literature from the University of Reading (U.K.) and a Ph.D. from the Department of Preschool Education at Democritus University of Thrace. She served as Chair of the 2nd Regional Council for the Selection of Secondary Education Advisors (2023–2026, Ministry of Education) and as a member of the Greek Committee for State Awards for Children’s Books (2022–2024, Ministry of Culture). In 2026, she was appointed a member of the Cyprus Committee for State Awards for Children’s Books (Ministry of Culture). Her research interests focus on the history and theory of Children’s Literature. In 2013, she published with the National Research Foundation a monograph on children’s magazines. Since 2023 she has co-edited two volumes and two journals on children’s and young adult literature. In 2026, she edited the translation of a collection of essays on children’s literature, translated from English into Greek. She has participated in numerous national and international conferences, and her research has been published in Greek and international journals, edited volumes, and conference proceedings.
